Alfred Hitchcock was an English filmmaker and producer, he had a hugely successful career, he mainly made films with psychological and suspense genres, which were thrillers. After making his name in England he moved to Hollywood.

Alfred often had strange psychology of characters, this helped make his films so popular and it helped them fit into thriller themes. 

He made many famous and popular films such as ‘Foreign Correspondant’, ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ (which later on had a remake), ‘North by Northwest’ and many more.
