Sleuth:
A Thriller film directed by Kenneth Branagh, and starring Michael Caine and Jude Law, It was released on the 25th of November 2007 in the UK, it opened on 146 screens, and in its opening weekend it took £165,788 and by the end of its theatrical run on the 2nd of December it had grossed £315,766. From using the ‘Rotten tomatoes’ website, I found that the film received generally negative reviews, gaining a 36% rating from all critics, and a 27% from top critics, an example of one of the films ‘rotten’ ratings is: ‘the wicked charm of Sleuth Mk1 (the original film in made in 1972) has been stripped away to leave a nasty, dispiriting and strangely cold psychological thriller.’ The film earned a 53% audience rating, an average rating of 3.2/5.
